DETROIT – General Motors and Spyker Cars NV today announced that they have finalized the deal for Spyker to purchase Saab Automobile AB.

A Beijing auto company recently purchased rights for the design/production of Saab’s 9-3 and 9-5. But Spyker, a Dutch company, still wants to purchase Saab.

Geely, the same company bidding to purchase Volvo from Ford Motor Company, may be on deck to pick up a dwindling Saab.
